We are excited to share that some of Dan's ashes were launched into DEEP SPACE on Monday, January 8, 2024 in the early morning hours! Alex and Becki were in Florida to see him off. The white light above that looks like the moon is actually the rocket that his ashes (and others) were on.

Backstory: Dan loved outer space and everything associated with it. His love for Star Trek was formed at a young age alongside his dad, Robert. The vastness and infinite possibility of space was something that Dan would geek out on a lot! Always looking up and taking in the beauty of the night sky and beyond.
While still fairly young, Dan and Becki talked about death and their respective wishes of what to do if something were to happen. Dan was clear--he wanted to be cremated and some of his ashes sent into space. Becki was unsure if this was a real thing, but Dan assured her it was. So, when the unthinkable happened and Dan died; Becki found solace in these clear instructions from Dan. There are a few companies that do this type of thing. We chose Celestis and are excited that Dan's ashes are going into a deep space orbit around the sun on the Enterprise Mission...
...and thanks to his sister, Sarah, we have a great send off instead of Rest in Peace...Rest In Space, Dan!
